Developed under the MEDNET project, includes the design, development and deployment of a monitoring and tracking system for container movements within the container terminal of the Melilla port. Forklifts incorporate a PDA running an application that queries and updates a specific database of the inventory status via mobile phone network. Selected hardware allows scalability by means of built-in camera (combined with OCR system can be used to read plate numbers automatically), 1D/2D barcode capabilities (expected to be used in a short-term future in order to extend the tracking outside the terminal boundaries) or Assisted GPS (in case of need accurate tracking of forklift location).

Simulation of transit networks (including both private and public transport) have been complemented with API extensions to get customized outputs addressing complex and specific issues such as dynamic pricing on highways depending on travel time, distance, emissions and occupancy (OASIS project) or evolution in the battery charge level of electric buses (Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona).

Intended to meet specific requirements from the client that cannot be tackled with any commercial or third party software in an easy way. We can develop custom solutions that process and analyze data to get useful key performance indicators or to make them available as valid inputs for Decision Support Systems. Some examples that completely represent this family of products have been delivered to public transport authorities in Barcelona to assess regularity in transfer stops of the new bus network and to detect bunching situations as well.

Due to the extensive use of office applications, such as the case of Microsoft Excel, sometimes the best approach to solve a problem is to add some mechanisms that ease many tasks as calculating or automating repetitive actions. In this context, the most popular option is the creation of add-ins, scripts or macros that enable fast integration into the current working environment and require a short learning process of end users, resulting in a non-expensive choice. Based on this methodology, we can highlight a system for the Govern of Catalonia that evaluates transport infrastructures.
